I have learned so much about your experiences in settling successfully in New Zealand, particularly in Auckland. My application gone thru the ITA stage and I am now waiting for my invitation for interview in Bangkok. I pray that you will never get tired of extending your arms to others.Smile Take care of yourself and God Bless!

To all,

A happy new year!! Thanks for your posts : ndb, russben888, shiemarie, wjb, bengab, budmerich. Apologies for not posting over the holidays. Life has been quite hectic, I could only spare a little bit of time to send quick emails to families and friends.

Budmerich, will send you a PM re your question. Steps I've taken may not be applicable to you though.

Anyway, I hope everything had a great holiday. Can't write more now as I don't have much credit left on my internet pre paid account. But just wanted to express gratitude to those who found the posts helpful. Wishing everyone the best on their applications.

Cheers,
jpe

JPE,

it is very nice of you to share your experiences there. like others, im also in my way of processing my papers. however, i was told by my consultant that as of the moment until around June this year the NZED government is giving priority to those currently onshore, raising the points system by additional 50 points more. im told to wait 'til June or July to move on again. my application is selected December 14, 2005. i really cant wait to go there like you.

thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I really want to see you as soon as i get there.

hey, could you check out for me the job openings on Administration and Human Resources? what do you think is the digree of difficulty in finding a job in this field of expertise? i will be very glad to know.

good luck in you job hunting and very sure that God is always there to help us out.

keep it up JPE!

JPE:
For me to know the place where I should go, I will try to read everything about that place such as literatures, books or maps. I am a Chemical Engineer with main exposures in Wastewater Treatment. I wanted to work also in NZ and this is the reason why I am here. Your posts were great. You have shared everything that fellow Filipinos should first know before going to NZ. Like many aspirants, me too is willing to work even as an ordinary wastewater treatment technician or those temporary jobs. The problem is HOW CAN I GET A WORK PERMIT? Thank you Ma'am.
GOD will never forget your good works. (Heb 6:10)
GOD BLESS

HI jpe..you really shared so much, we can only be thankful..we are really lost on information about this whole NZ thing because i was very limited on the common NZ sites but your experiences were worth all that i have read Smile ...anyway, can you share with us some more insights on job hunting particularly on the IT field, i mean they're right, you're a SAP manager Razz , but how about us who are not really that up in terms of position..i am into mainframe but then got familiar with VB programming...i am the principal applicant so i am quite anxious about finding a job since normally, my husband should ideally be the main one..ei, im lost..some inputs please..im really getting overwhelmed by all that i am reading...

thanks and regards..

JPE,

Hi JPE. Thanks for your informative post. Just want to share our case with you. I am new here and at the same time I only started my application this week. I am in the first stage with my BF. Actually, I have convinced my BF to leave the military service so that we can pursue our plan to migrate. I will be the principal applicant and my school (UP Diliman) is in the list of recognized qualification. Since my BF is not in the list, we have to assess his qualification through PAR before we submit our EOI. He will submit his PAR application this week so that we can proceed to the submission of EOI. Hopefully, we will be selected in the pool.

By the way, I am a pre-school teacher with more than two years of working experience and currently taking masters in SPED while my BF is still in the military service with five years of experience. On the other hand, we have pass the minimum requirements of 100 pts. We would like to seek your advise regarding our application.

Thank you and more power...
