I want to know about the IT job market in New Zealand. I have seen some posts by some migrants on a forum and they are very discouraging. In fact, after reading those experiences, I am almost convinced that I should not migrate.

I have 8 years of experience with 5 years US experience (with many Fortune 500 companies as a consultant) in software development and hold MCP, MCAD and MCSD.Net certifications. I would appreciate if some one already in New Zealand could let me know about the actual job situation in NZ around Microsoft technologies. The NZ job sites that I check show a lot of jobs. What is the actual story?
I would request only responses from those who are already in NZ and who actually know the IT job market.

I am a family man and your answer could help me make an informed decision.
