Hi guys,
Is there anyone here who has only 100 points but was given an ITA? My husband is the principal applicant and he has 100 points ( granting that his NZQA assesment will earn him 50 points and will pass the IELTS) in our assessment. I did not qualify for any points as his spouse since I graduated with PT degree which requires NZ Registration to earn points. I was able to practice this profession so I don't think I will qualify. I need advise. Shall I go on with my application? Thank you in advance..This site is the best. |

100 points is the threshold/cut-off where they will still consider your application kung baga ito ang passing grade so you'll still be considered to be picked in the pool. Kailan labas ng PAR niyo where you'll get the results?
Ang IELTS walang points but you have to pass this. English proficiency is especially needed during the interview in Bangkok dahil doon i-assess talaga ang capabilities ninyo.
If you are confident enough, another alternative route is if your qualification is conducted entirely in English (you'll just need certification from the university that english is the medium of instruction), you'll not need to take IELTS anymore. Of course the VO may still require you to take the IELTS later. These are the options but it would be you who would best assess which route to take to increase your chances of passing.

Mitzchie,
I got exactly 100 points and I'm already waiting for my WTR visa. It's a risk that you must take. Just add prayers to your points... I wish you luck!

| Thank you Cathy and Kirk123..We have not done the PAR yet since me and my husband is contemplating on whether to take the chance with the 100 points score only. By the way what is WTR? Sorry,I'm quite new here and not familiar with the terms. And should I apply for PAR first or go ahead with the NZQA? What do you suggest? |

Mitzchie,
Even though my school is included in the list of recognized qualifications, I still had my qualification pre-assessed by NZQA just to make sure I accurately got the 100 points. That was before I submitted my EOI. You may submit your EOI if you are sure of your points, NZIS may increase the required number of points.
WTR - Work to Residence, you may get lots of information from this site, just look for that topic.

Hi Kirk,
I am thinking of not taking the IELTS anymore and just request certification from the school re English as medium of instruction, same for my husband. I believe you have been interviewed na, right? Do you think it's better to get na rin the IELTS just to make sure? Medyo mahal din kase eh... |
