Kia ora,

We will be on the South Island over New Year's, wondering if anybody had any tips on where to spend New Year's Eve? Christchurch doesn't really look all that inspiring (correct me if I'm wrong!), and we have a campervan, so we can go wherever we want. All input would be highly appreciated! Cool

Hi Zombi, yeah nothing much happens in Christchurch. Places like Wanaka, Queenstown, Akaroa (down Banks Penisular - Christchurch) and Nelson are the usual hot spots. Not to sure about Hawea, it use to be really good there also over new years. Personally I would go to Wanaka.
