hi to all,
Im also desiring to work and live in NZ. and upon searching about NZ i saw Newjobz last june 2006. I wrote to them and ask many questions at katulad nga ng sabi ninyo di sila agad sasagot. Keith was the one communicating with me but i think its only computerized answer. I think about their associate fee kung magbabayad ba ako, but thanks God i changed my mind .that week b4 i pay $297.... I met Mrs. Me last july 2006(she is the consultant) of NZIHS thru this forum also, backpak. They have consultancy fee also but affordable naman. She helped me and assisted me in my EOI application and luckily
my applctn was SELECTED last sept 13,2006.Now Im waiting for the immigration for my ITA.
So, if u are looking for gud agency try NZIHS. here is her email add nzhelp@xtra.co.nz ;website www.nzimmigrationhelpservice.com

God bless u all and may the Lord give the desires of our heart...

I believed its not for real. My wife has availed of the full membership last february and nothing happens. They just informed us about the buy out just recently and told that they are not responsible for the any payback guarantee promised my Stu Macann. We paid more than $2000 US dollars and now on the way of losing it.This is a scam !

Hi rose,

I suggest for you to do it yourself. It's not that complicated all you need is about an hour of your time each day and support groups like Pinoys2NZ, AKLPinoys and Kiwinoy Jobhunt group.

For starters, let me tell you that you cannot claim points for your husband's qualifications based on the ISSL. The good news is my qualifications is also on that list and I am bound for NZ on January; the better news is, my wife and I are also both working abroad; and the best news is...I started dreaming in July 2006.

Very Happy

Never ever use NewJobz or Skills NZ to immigrate to New Zealand

I entered a contract with NewJobZ / Stu Macann & Associates Limited / Skill NZ (claims to be “employment and immigration consultant”) in April, 2006. The contract stated that, I have to pay a fee of NZD$3000.00 + 175.00 (GST) in order for them to find me a suitable full time job in New Zealand. The contract states that if they (NewJobZ) are not able to find me a job in 180 days, they will refund me NZD$2000.00. The fact is that they failed to find me a job; in fact I didn’t even receive an interview call through them.

After 180 days, I contacted them for refund of NZD$2000.00, but they refused to repay me back, saying that the Company's goodwill and intellectual property including the trade name NewJobZ has been bought by Skills New Zealand Limited. They also informed me that, Skills New Zealand Limited does not and will not accept any obligation in respect of the amount owing to you by NewJobZ (Stu Macann & Associates Limited).

So I contacted Citizen Advice Bureau. Their investigation found that both these companies were owned by the same people and that Skills NZ was registered in November. I came to New Zealand as a student and when I made the payment to NewJobZ, I had to borrow it from my friends. So I would like to get back the money (NZD$2000.00) that NewJobZ owes me.

Vangie,

My advice and like everyones opinion, follow the legal ways. Go to the process of EOI and the WTR. Basically there are lots of Consultancy firm here in Manila and in NZ wherein they ask you for a fee and in return they will try to find you a job offer.

My question is, how can u be sure that they are really working and finding you a job? What if you paid them the amount and they just sit there 5 days a week and invest your money on other business that they have? Say, they offer to find u a job within 180 days. Could u imagine, if you filed your EOI and waited Im sure mas nauna pa ang EOI mo if u are qualified.

You can also have a quota like promise yourself to submit a resume online thru different companies in NZ at least 2x a week, who know someone might call u for interview?

This is only my personal advice, "go slow but surely".

Regards,
Mike
