I have submitted my EOI and waiting to be selected from the pool. I'm having second thoughts in moving to NZ if ever because of my husband's condition.
My points as indicated on my submitted EOI is 110. My question is: Will my chances of having invited to apply be affected if NZIS new of my husband's conditon? You see my husband was a seaman on board a chemical tanker. During one of the emergency calls, the chemical they were loading accidentally poured directly on him. He was not wearing that time a protection suit 'coz he's off duty. Because of that accident, the doctor had advised to cut his left limb so as not to further damaged his bone marrow. So right now, he is partially disabled with only his right arm left and wearing an artificial limb. Will his being partially disabled affect our chances of getting a VISA? Are there available works for people like him in New Zealand? Is there discrimination in New Zealand for disabled people? I'm hoping you could enlighten me with this matter. |
