Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone out there knows what "White Spirits" are. I have just bought an old Colemans 1 burner stove and it's fuelled by White spirits which I haven't a clue what that is. I tried calling service stations and hardware supply stores but they have no idea either. Can anyone help me out?

| Hi Backme, sorry for taking so long to reply. Whitespirits can be brought at most gas stations, camping stores and some major supermarkets. It is called Shellite at shell petrol stations. It usually comes in a 1 litre clear bottle similar to meths. You can also use colemans fuel but it is usually more expensive and it comes in a little tin can. |

I have noticed people from the UK are coming to this site searching for white spirts. Well the stuff is surprisingly difficult to find in the UK as most people seem to favour gas cookers to MSR's and the likes. You can get it from the high street camping stores like blacks and it is called "colemans fuel", it comes in a little red and white can and cost about £5 for 500mls.
