Hi To all, Im very confused on how Teachers can apply. I read this in teachnz website regarding oversea qualifications of teachers. My sister was selected from the pool Aug.17 but she only has this PAR. what she will do? wait for the invitation to apply before having assessment from NZQA or get registration from NZ Teachers Council?. Please to those teachers who have been invited to apply please share your experiences. Thanks & God bless! [b][b]Information for Overseas Applicants Applicants with Qualifications obtained in an overseas country Assessment of the comparability of overseas teaching qualifications to New Zealand teaching qualifications is undertaken by NZQA. If your qualifications were obtained in an overseas country you must provide a certified copy of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) assessment report to the NZ Teachers Council. [Refer www.nzqa.govt.nz for further information] If your qualifications have been previously assessed by the New Zealand Department of Education or the NZ Ministry of Education, this assessment may be provided in place of the NZQA assessment. Applicants who do not receive comparability with New Zealand qualifications for teaching in the early childhood / primary / or secondary sector by NZQA may wish to be considered for registration under specific provisions. Applicants must supply certified copies of certificates and statements of service covering all teaching experience. If these documents are in a language other than English, you must supply translations. These must be word for word translation prepared and certified as correct by an official service.
