Hello,
I am new here. First of all, congratulations to for a very successful forum. Very informative..actually di ko nga alam kung paano ko tatapusin basahin lahat,eh. Anyway, I have several questions.I have not lodge any application yet since me and my husband are getting our credentials ready for NZQA. But from what I read, okay lang kung mag PAR (Preassesment)muna para magkapaglodge na kami ng application. Anyway, ok lang sa amin kahit ano kasi pareho naman kailangan. Now, here is my problem. I am BS Physical therapy graduate but do not have a license and do not practice. I work as a travel consultant right now,mga 5 1/2 years na rin. My question is, will they award points sa work experience ko kahit di related yung job ko sa natapos ko? How about my NZQA? Anong work experience ang ilalagay ko duon? How about parttime jobs? Kasama ba sa yearS of experience yun? Hope someone will enlighten me on this. |

Hi mitzchie,
From what I know, job experience must be somehow related to course. We have to take note that our category is skilled migrant, and experience must complement education. In your case, I just don’t know how to relate your job as a travel consultant to your Physical Therapy degree.
As far as part-time job(s) is/are concern, again it should be related to your course. And I do believe, to be given points, a part-time job should be at least 30-40hrs a week.
Years of experience is likewise relevant, I do believe that the minimum is around 6 or 8 years.
Why not make your husband as the principal applicant?
Of course, I'm not an expert on this matter, I could be wrong you know.
God Bless,
