I just finished a tramp through the Caples Valley-my first in NZ. Any advice on crossing rivers? Is it best to just plow through and get your boots and socks wet, or is it better to change into jandals to cross? Am I doomed to have wet soggy feet, or is there a better way?

Just plow right through, on some tracks not only will you be changing your footware every 10 minutes but you also need to have a good footing. So yeah wet soggy feet is the norm Smile
