| Hi jessica212, yes you need to pay a bond (deposit) when you move into a place in NZ and a few weeks - month in advance, it depends on the landlord. As for kids, you might want to post a message at trademe, unfortunately you have to register and credit your account with $10 at this action site, but I am sure you will get tons of answers http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/messageboard/show_threads.asp?topic=5 |

Hi there
Im a teacher in NZ- palmerston North. Schools are checked every 3 years and you can read the report for every school free on education review office site( www.moe.govt.nz )
When you've chosen a house, go for a visit to the local schools and ask to meet the new entrant teachers. Look for an exciting, vibrant programme, happy kids all busy and signs of independence from children who will all be aged 5.
You can ask questions and get a book about each school. some also have web sites.
Good luck |
