Please post here if your application was allocated to NZIS Shanghai Branch. Mine was allocated there according to the EOI Team.

Hi Shiela, (EOI Selected on March 2, 2005)
My EOI was allocated at NZIS Beijing as per email:

Your EOI will be processed in Beijing. If you are invited to apply for residence, your application will still be processed here in Beijing. NZ Embassy in Dubai does not process residence applications.

We are currently working on EOI’s that were received in November 2004. It is anticipated that your EOI will be assessed in October this year. We will contact you in due course.

jraposas,

If you are in dubai, where will you take your medical exam.? Does that mean you have to fly back to the Phils. just for that? My husband is abroad as well and can't leave (unless he resigns) because he is under contract. Any ideas?

To jen037:
I hope NZIS Beijing would consider my situation since there are also panel doctor/clinic recognized by NZIS in Riyadh. Once I get the ITA pack I need to ask all these matters to my VO. Aslo we need to secure NBI and Police clearance as well but per timeframe if the ITA would come by Oct. until Dec. then it's a good timing for us to go PI for vacation (X'mas) and to do the medical & other documents at the same time. Di ko pa ininquire sa NZIS Beijing kasi wala pa naman VO assigned to my EOI.

jraposas,

thank you for the reply. do you think it will be a point against our application if my husband resigns just to come home to the Phils. for the medical exam? i don't really think his employer will let him take a leave.

Hi All,

Update lang po from NZIS Bangkok.

Skilled migrant applicants without job offers

The Pool draw occurs every two weeks. Please check our main website for the Selection Announcement. You will receive formal notification if your EOI is selected.
Allocation of your EOI to Bangkok Branch occurs within seven working days of each draw.
Given the large number of EOIs currently awaiting assessment, we are using resources available in other branches to assist processing of EOIs and applications. Officers in Shanghai and Beijing are processing EOIs and will carry through the processing of skilled migrant applications from lodgement to decision stage. We anticipate that all EOIs selected before 1 June 2005 will be assessed and clients notified by 30 September 2005. We will update this website after 30 September 2005 concerning EOIs selected after 1 June 2005.
You will have up to four months from the date we invite you to apply for Residence; however, it is desirable to apply well before the four-month period has elapsed.
Once we have accepted your residence application it should take up to three months to make a final decision. Processing times may vary from case to case as it often depends on the quality and completeness of documentation you provide with your application.
However, should you receive a job offer at any stage after your EOI has been selected, please fax it to us on +66 2 654 3445. Alternatively, you can contact us at nzisbangkok@dol.govt.nz. Please always state your EOI number. We will immediately allocate your EOI to a visa officer.
It is expected that interviews for skilled migrant applications will be held in Bangkok.
The approximate timeline and other information contained on this web page will be updated monthly. We understand that you want the process to be completed as quickly as possible, but please do not make enquiries about progress as we wish to have our resource focused on assessing applications rather than responding to enquiries.
