Hello!
Mga kabayan! Meron po akong tanong regarding sa certificate of employment. yung past company ko po had already closed down a few years ago and all I have is a photocopy of an old certificate of employment (just the standard and simple certificate). How am I going to present this kind of certificate? Should I have it certified as true copy?

I would go to a Notary Public and execute an Affidavit saying that the company is already closed blah, blah, blah. you can have your old copy of Cert of Employment also notarized by the atty. to make it more acceptable at kapani-paniwala.

Hi latebloomer,
In addition to pablo's advice, if you still have contact with your former boss or supervisor, you may ask them to be the one to execute the affidavit to attest that you were employed with them for so and so period. This way, there is a third party involved who will certify to your former employment.
