to everyone whos made comments - the mongrel mobs and gangs are the most stupid things ever. i am pakeha, and about 1/8th maori, and have grown up in a full maori family. the people in the gangs fighting for black power are just stupid because honestly there is hardly any conflict between paheka and maori anymore. ofcourse there are going to be some idiots that are going to do the wrong things, but the maoris cant expect people to disregard the fact that there are reasons for them to give maoris a label of the type of people they are..if that makes sense. i am from a place in whanagarei that is mostly all maoris, its a fairly poor place with rubbish all around and mostly government owned houses id say. maoris cannot say that majority of them are the way they are because of how theyve been treated, because they are no longer treated as second class citizens. ofcourse there are always going to be somg bitter peopl that will forever have a problem with maoris, but thats just the way it is. i have lived n australia also and it may be helpful for you to know that the 'bad reputation' of maoris is nowhere near as bad as the reputation that the aboriginals in australia have. thats all i have to say... i do not see maoris any different from pakehas as i have been brought up in with only maoris.i think its stupid that some people forever hold a grudge, and for what? ... absolutly nothing. mongrel mob is just like any other gang in any other country and i dont think its as bad media and other sources portray it. ~1 Love To All~
