Greetings to each and everyone. Like majority of us here, I and my family is in the process of migrating to New Zealand. I've done with my pre NZQA and also pass my IELTS I'm about to submit my EOI but lately someone advise me that Hepatitis B is not an acceptable health condition in New Zealnd. For the info of the members of this forum I was diagnosed to have this virus some twenty years ago sad to say the doctors tell us that it will remain in my system. But the good thing is my 3 children and my wife were not infected.
Well for the past year now I dreamed of moving to a country that my children will have a better opporunity. Given my health condition do you think I could pass the health requirement of New Zealand?
Any comment on this matter will be highly appreciated...
Thank you and mabuhay |

Dear Pilosopongtasyo,
First let me start by saying that my name is not Atty Ong, I'm not a lawyer but instead just an ordinary accountant. Sad to say due to my current health condition I had to hide my identity . And sorry if I used the id name AttyOng I thought he will be a famous guy like Mrs. Ocampo (Equitable PCI, remember). Well our situation has become a "circus arena" too bad we, the common Filipino are the one expected to be mostly hit by this type of dirty politics and corruption. And like most common Filipino I believe that things will never change instead will be more worsen for a certain period of decade maybe hmmmm tsk tsk tsk.
Well going back to the topic I previously posted, we've done some test and ask for Hepatitis profile my wife was tested negative on her HBsAg and the kids were given immediate shots of Anti Hepa B during their infant stages. Well I guess we will try to secure another test. On my part I am currently studying more my situation, I try to ask NZIS and unfortunately I didnt receive any direct answer that this case is not possible that is why I am still hoping that my situation can be consider. I am wondering if its possible to checked it first with the accreditted "panel of doctors" here in the Philippines. I've spend a little bit on my initial stages of data preparation and very much willing to go further... kaya lang I dont want to end empty handed in the end. na later ko pa malalaman na di pala pwede... I really need help guys ... pleaseneligthen me...
Thank you again Mr. pilosopongtasyo and same goodluck to you.
