Not much. I knew this guy from England that had overstayed for 3 years and he left the country with no questions asked. I don't know if that is normal.
Don't want to go home or already an overstayer and want to go home? |

| Proberbly a wise decision, you don't want to overstay if you plan on coming back. |

Currently in London, can't wait to head back upto Scotland though. I meet quite a few Polish people in Inverness, a friendly bunch but man can they drink
I will hopefully get to Poland and Eastern Europe sooner rather than later, I hear there is some good hiking in them hills. |

| Thanks madsimon, actually we are also thinking about getting a flat in central/eastern europe for several months and Poland has crossed our minds. What city/large town would you live in if you had a choice? Our ownly requirments are internet access and the cheaper the better. |

Hi Gary!
Im in Singapore airport! Soon fly on.
Well, Warsaw is the place with the most opportunities but its like the Auckland: most Polish doesnt like it, its not representative to all country but of course there are a lot of beautiful places there. Its the busiest polish city.
But there are also Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan. They are big and very nice.
I would recommend u Wroclaw or Krakow. And if u miss the sea then Gdansk. sorry have to boarding!
see ya and ask more! |

Its me again!
Im in Warsaw already. Its hot!
Well its strange after 9 mounths in NZ. I will have to get used to.
As I have written. Wroclaw and Krakow are beautiful big Polish cities. They are old and both have very nice old market squares and architecture. Ther is also no problem with the internet. Wroclaw is near the german polish border and krakow is on the south near beautiful polish mountains. Both cities are seemed as a intelectual and cultural centres. There is a big art society in Krakow. Actually I dont know which place recommend most.
I ve written about Gdansk. There are three cities (Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot) that are so close to each other that we call it Trojmiasto (Threecity). Trojmiasto is on the North at the sea. Well, polish sea (Baltic) is OK but rather cold. Sopot and Gdynia in Trojmiasto seem to be nice places to live.
Its up to u. If u will know where u want to go I can find someone in every of these places to help u.
Have a good trip in UK
see ya |

Yeah is hot here in London to, yesterday it was about 30 - 32.
"Its up to u. If u will know where u want to go I can find someone in every of these places to help u.", wow that would be excellent!
We had a search around the internet for flats in those cities you recommended, but not being able to read Polish makes it a bit difficult. Although http://www.poltran.com is handy. Say what would the average cost of a flat for a month be (2 people)? I had a look at http://www.magnat.informer.pl/?d=s,3,,0 but I am guessing that they are apartments for sale and 4000 PLN/m2 , means how much per square metre. |

Hello Gary!
I hope u have a good time. When u want to go to Poland? Well, and I forgot about one question. Why u want to live there?
Honestly, if u two dont speak polish then it maybe really hard for u. Poland has a lot of nice places but living here is still not very good. It's better to b a tourist than try to live here.
Anyway Im still ready to help u. |
