I received a reply from CFO regarding Philippine Exit Requirements. I hope this will help as a guide after receiving your NZ Visa.

First Email Response from CFO:

Dear Sir:

This has reference to your email message dated 16 April 2012 regarding your inquiry about the required seminar from the CFO.

Please be informed that only work-to-residence visa (WTR), residence visa and spouse/ partner visa of Kiwi citizen or NZ permanent resident are the ones required to undergo the registration and seminar at CFO for New Zealand bound departing Filipinos.

Since you mentioned that you have a working visa but no job offer yet, I am assuming that you were issued a WTR visa. The seminar for NZ bound Filipino immigrants is conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, on a walk-in, first come, first served basis. The seminar lasts for 2-1/2hrs. Participants are advised to come at least 2hrs before the seminar for the registration procedures.

The following are the requirements for registration and the PDOS.

*Original and photocopy of passport (must be valid about six months before date of travel)
*Original and photocopy of visa
*One (1) 2x2 or passport-size photograph
*One (1) valid identification card with photograph (eg., SSS ID, GSIS E-card, PRC ID, driver's license, postal ID, ARC, etc.)
*Original and photocopy of letter of approval for Work to Residence visa (for New Zealand-bound emigrants)
*Duly completed registration form
*Payment of P400.00 registration fee
*Attendance in the PDOS

Second Email from CFO:

Dear Sir:

Please be informed that holders of WTR visa bound for NZ are no longer required to undergo the PDOS seminar with POEA and secure an OEC as their visa is considered to be a deferred application for residence status. Thus, to answer your question, affirmatively, the CFO seminar satisfies the Philippine exit requirement for such holders of visa. You will only need to present your WTR visa and the CFO emigrant reqistration sticker affixed into your passport at the NAIA Immigration counter for you to be allowed to leave the Philippines.

Best regards.

Thanks to Mr. Manny V. Tibe for responding promptly.

Goodluck to everyone.

hi spearhead..

thanks for the info.
that really makes sense considering WTR visas are different from working visas where we we need to secure POEA clearance.

goodluck sa NZ journey mo.

regards,
bella

thanks bella!

even after gathering the information i've decided to directly booked from Riyadh to Wellington (28 June 2012) instead of going home to the Philippines avoiding so much stress attending seminars.

goodluck to everyone...

that's a sensible idea.

just make sure you have records/documents with you re: that you were working in Saudi Arabia, in case NZIS at the border will ask you why you're flying from SA to NZ instead of PH to NZ.

all the best in your trip.
