Would like to ask if internet access is readily available in NZ.
How much it costs.
Thanks in advance! |

| Absolutely yes. NZD90 to 100 per month (60 GB plan) including telephone line but actual cost depends on provider. |

Yes there are cheaper options, it all depends on usage. Some even provide pre pay internet.
But if you skype frequently and download movie sized data, then 60 gig is the norm. If you want to have a cheaper plan, then you have to restrict your usage. Besides, NZ has strict anti copyright infringement policy so if you use torrents to download stuff you will get notices from the government, and if you persist you pay heavy fines and have your internet cut off.
You can surf available internet plans, just google vodafone nz, telecom nz, telstra clear nz, or orcon nz.
All the best. |

Hmm, how about gadgets similar to MagicJack, Netduo or Vonage? Is this kind of free call platform available in NZ? |

Mgicjack is only available for calls to NZ and USA. Same thing with vonage, but I am unsure.
If you have a smartphone, there are several apps like viber, whats app, tango, nimbuzz, facebook and skype that let you text, call for free, as long as you have mobile internet (3g) or wifi. |
