GOOD DAY TO ALL

JUST RECEIVED OUR INVITATION TO APPLY FOR WTR; WE'RE STILL PREPARING THE REQUIREMENTS (FILLED UP FORM, PROOF OF FUNDS & PASSPORTS).

IF I RECEIVE A JOB OFFER BEFORE SUBMITTING THE REQUIREMENTS; DO I STILL NEED TO PROVIDE "PROOF OF FUNDS"?

ANY INPUT/S IS APPRECIATED.

THANKS!

i think so. until you get the first salary you need to be able to support yourself and anyone else coming with you. kasi offers have time limits, they can still be revoked. and if you have a job offer you wont be applying for a WTR di ba? if you have job offer, apply for work permit (faster & cheaper) then when you get here, get your family on partnership/dependents visas then after the required time, apply for residency.

if you get a job offer and you chose to go and apply for WTR/residency anyway, the employer will not wait for you. WTRs take about a year to process , work permits 2 months lang. with work permit you could be here faster and your work here will fund the subsequent residency application that is less likely to be denied if you have served your time in NZ already.

even processing of partner/dependents visas are cheaper and faster than any form of residency application. your partner can work on any job no restriction , even if unskilled and off tangent and your kids can get free schooling even if you are only on a work permit but may conditions like you need to have at least 2 years work permit and you and your partner hit the minimum salary required.

bottom line, if you get a job offer jump on it with a work permit. if you dont get a job offer, go for WTR.

Hi, congratulations on your job offer!

Just to make things clear, based on the NZIS website, what you have is a work visa under the "Talent Category" hired by an authorized employer. When you arrive here, and you apply for residency, your route is "Work to Residence" residency.

Majority of people posting here applied under the "Skilled Migrant" Category, and were granted 9 month work visas to look for skilled work then get their residency. The common name of this process is called WTR, or "work to residence" visa. I think its now called job search visa.

I posted to avoid confusion, but thanks for the input!

Hi levi,

Work to Residence visa naman ang ni-applayan namin. Nakalagay din sa visa application form namin na Work to Residence Instruction. Same din to sa ni-explain sa amin ng visa consultant ng company na naghire sa akin.

Yong Skilled Migrant Category naman is under Resident Category at hindi under ng Work to Residence instructions.

I was just saying that the Work to Residence you are referring is different from the Work to Residence majority of people are mentioning here, ie under Skilled Migrant Category. Same words, different meanings to other people, baka kasi people might wonder why you had a different route than they did.
