Hey Guys, i need advise to check whether this plan will work, Will the time allow me to do all this in 8 days by driving? Is that too rush?

Yeah, you can do it, but youŽll see a lot of road.
Distances in NZ are deceptive. The speed limit is 100km/h and it is enforced. Most of the roads you are planning to use are OK at that speed, but you wonŽt be able to average 100km/h even so. You should probably plan about 90km/h in your estimates of how much time youŽll need between locations. Many roads wind quite a bit. So your plan guarantees youŽll spend hours a day in your car.
That isnŽt necessarily a bad thing, because youŽll see some fantastic scenery. Trouble is, youŽre not going to leave yourself much time to enjoy it. |
