Happy New Year mga ka-forum! Wishing everyone good health and good luck for 2011!

May I approach you once again for clarification on how the show money should be complied with?

below is a verbatim quote from the WTR Invite:

"For your application for a Work to Residence visa to be accepted, it must be received (together with all of the specified accompanying documents) within three months from the date of this letter. The following documents are required before 01 March 2011, otherwise your SMC application could be declined.

 A completed Work to Residence application (Please print the application form attached and post the completed application form to our office);
Evidence of sufficient funds for the maintenance and accommodation of you (and) any accompanying family members for a period of at least three months in New Zealand, AND for the purchase of an outward ticket from New Zealand for yourself (and) any accompanying family members; the evidence should be certified copies;
Payment for courier fee of US$25 which must be paid by way of bank draft made payable to the New Zealand Immigration Service (if you wish your documents to be returned by courier). Please note that bank draft in US dollars must include a bank fee of US$10;
 Original, valid passports of you and your family. Please ensure that validity of the passports is at least two years.

So for bullet number 2, it says "the evidence should be certified copies;"

So in my ignorance - copies of what? should i go to the bank and get bank drafts in US$ in our names them photocopy them and send along w/ the other requirements?

Tapos, about the "outward ticket" to NZ - hindi naman sinabing xerox ng ticket to NZ kungdi FUNDS for the purchase of outward ticket - tama ba intindi ko?

Sana po maging mapasensya pa kayo sa mga mahina ang pick up Shocked like me, he he.

Will be grateful for your advice.

Salamat

P.S. what a relief na nawala ang mga "for sale" at kung anu-anong spam sa forum.

"Certified copy" means a lawyer, solicitor or justice of peace has certified that the photocopy of the evidence of funds you will submit is a true copy of the original document.

What you can do is photocopy your evidence of funds such as deposit accounts and troop to your nearest notary public and ask to certify the documents. Hindi ginagawa sa atin yan so i-request mo na lang yung notary na i-print sa end ng photocopied documents mo the following:

"This is a certified copy, the original of which I have sighted."

Notary Public

Book No.______
Page No.______
Vol No. ______
Series of 2011.

In case of what funds you are asking, it's ok to provide certified copies of the US$ passbook then withdraw the monies later for your travel to NZ.

All the best, good luck.

Not sure, you could ask your visa officer. That might be fine as long as when the visa officer totals all your funds in different sources it will amount to the funds required.

Get certified copies of all your bank certificates. It's not that complicated. I believe bank can issue bank certificates anytime (like BPI).

yup, just go to your bank/s and ask for bank cert. kami nun we submitted bank cert pertaining to savings and term deposits. kahit kulang yung sa savings para show money, more than enough naman yung term deposit kaya wala problem.

goodluck!

I read this from a Blog:
IYA: does philippines require pdos even to immigrants?iam not an OFW
BATTGIRL: In as far as I know PDOS is only required for OFWs because it is one of the requirements to obtain an OFW exit pass. Basically it is a lecture with the objective of introducing you on the life abroad and how to assimilate with the culture of the country you are going to. It includes experience-sharing from veteran OFWs.

If you are traveling as a visitor or as an immigrant it is not required at all but you will have to pay the PHP750 terminal fee plus travel tax of PHP1820 which are waived if you are traveling as an OFW.
IYA: thanks batt girl ur realy intelligent! pls helpme furthe coz the ticketing agency tldme that i really have to take pdos CFO i dnt know what CFO means.they said that 1sttime immigrants have to undergo PDOS but i doubt coz iam not an OFW
NIGHTRIDER:
Huh?
Who is a PDOS?
What is an ofw?

Acronyms are best if it is commonly known. If you assume everybody knows these things, then your chances of getting a good answer to help you is quite slim indeed.
(ay ambot, nabitin na ang sagot) How true you skip the terminal fee and travel tax if u get PDOS? Rolling Eyes

Among the requirements for OFW's to secure an exit clearance is a seminar conducted by the POEA.

However, New Zealand WTR work visa holders are not considered OFW's but permanent residence holders, hence you need to undergo a PDOS (Pre-Departure and Orientation Seminar) seminar conducted by the CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) and once you have undergone the seminal they will give your a PDOS sticker.

For more information, you can click on the link: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=234&Itemid=33

As to payment of travel tax, you might need to ask this during the PDOS seminar or contact the Philippine Tourism Authority.

Reading blogs or forums such as this is fine, but it is best to get information from the source, hence you need to look into the link and/or contact the pertinent government agencies. People are sometimes denied to board their flight due to lack of the proper documentation.

Hi Everyone! i just got my invitation to apply for WTR and one of the requirements is showing proof of funds.

Right now, banks includes information on daily average savings and not just the total amount of the account.

Question, will it affect our application kung makita na yung daily average savings is not as big and kaka deposit lang ng money? Confused Meron naman kameng savings pero of course we have to pull together some more funds for our show money. I just want to be sure....so sana i can get your opinion.

Thank you in advance!!!
