| To those who have received WTR invitation: May I ask was are the disadvantages my family members and I will face if I do not submit the passports of my family members in my initial WTR application? What is the next step for them once I am already in NZ? Do they have to wait for me to get PR before they be granted their own WTR or student visas? |

hi sailorgirl,
sorry medyo di ko sure the question you're asking pero i hope this will help...
if you're in the stage of submitting your wtr application and the reason you're not sending your family's passports is because of funding (just like most of us) and which i believe is the only reason why not... di ka naman kailangan maghintay ma-PR for them to get their own visas... you only need of course to pay the migrant levy and siguro mabuti na din na may work ka na din dito... kasi initially naman kasama na sila sa application mo as dependents...
disadvantage nung is syempre, mag-process ka naman ng application nila which hindi naman mahirap... advantage is, hindi mo kailangan mag provide ng fund for them sa wtr application nyo especially kung madami kayo... |

hi tolitz,
Thanks for your reply. You answered my concerns. Actually I asked the same question in the other forums but was informed that I have to submit the passports of my family members EVEN if they are not travelling with me initially to NZ. Thanks a lot. Hope to meet you one day! |

Hi Sailorgirl...
Yup this is in addition to tolitz info...If you have for the time being enough funds for yoursefl..then submit your WTR with your passport only...But you have to pay the migrant fee for the whole family...And when you are here in NZ at medyo okay na funds mo at accomodation mo...then you can go back and communicate to your original Vo either in /china or in Bangkok..that you want passports for your partner or children to be stamp..like a work visa for your hubby and visitor's visa or student visa for your kids...And all they will ask for is a certificate of your funds here..at siyempre medyo maliit nalang yon kasi..you have the accomodation to support with..if mag rent ka na dito on your own..Actually, this is what I did..kasi naman malaki family ko..I have 4 kids..And just lately I sent passports of my husband and my kids to Beijing...kasi 2 months na akong nag lodge for my PR...wala pa rin...at medyo husband ko nag apply na rin sa MAF dito..kaso lang di siya ma interview if he's not yet here..so ayon at sinubmit ko na pasport niya sa Beijing...2 weeks lang processing nila..If you want more info you can email me at corjunq@yahoo.com...or send private message to me..okay?
Godbless,

hi again,
the first time i've spoken with them, they said NZ$1000... but when i got there, they only gave me NZ$500... they told me that it actually depends on the availability... wala ka namang magawa kasi mabuti na din yun kahit konti kesa wala at all... aside from your passport, they also require you to show your airline ticket before you could actually buy the $...
kung may extra cash ka pa that you need to convert to NZ$, it is best that you open up an account na lang with them rather than buying US$ and later on pagdating mo dito papalit mo din ng NZ$... malulugi ka kasi sa convertion for both transactions... hope this helps...
in addition to corex post.......
ang alam ko di mo din dapat ipadala yung passports ng family mo kung di sila kasama sa funding... it will only create delay on your part kasi they will tell you that the proof of fund that you sent is short... |
