hello sesame (ernie),
ask ko lang po kung namention nyo sa visa officer nyo na hindi muna nyo isama pamilya nyo, sa pagpunta sa nz? i'm preparing po kasi for our interview although wala pa kaming schedule. ganun din ang balak namin gawin, although in our case, kaming dalawa muna ni mister ang mauna. pero sa pagpeprepare ko,nag-reresearch na rin ako para sa schooling ng bata, or kung sino mag-alaga sa kanila pag parehas kami nagttrabaho. actually isa rin po siguro na pwede i-mention sa vo na difficulty or challenge na mararanasan dun is, kung parehas kayo mag-asawa mag-work, walang maiiwan para mag-alaga sa mga bata. god bless to all. thanks.

Hi Bengab,
No I did not mention that I will leave first. Hindi naman tinanong. Mas particular sila kung meron kang relatives, friends in NZ, for obvious reasons - they can help you settle quickly. In my case walang akong relatives there but I told my VO na may friend ako there who will help me. To my surprise my VO ask the address and telephone number of my friend, buti na lang nasa notebook kong dala at naibigay ko. He also asked me kung what kind of support my friend is willing to provide, I told him that my friend is willing to accomodate us once we arrive, maybe for a couple of weeks, until I find a suitable place for my family and maybe referrals to his current employer but definitely not financial. Bottom line is if you will tell your VO that you have relatives or friends there, be ready to provide details. Just remember, your VO will ask a lot of probing questions, sometimes they sound all alike but the ultimate goal is to determine if you will be able to settle and contribute to NZ. Goodluck on your interview.

Hi jesse,
Read your blog and I was very impressed with it. I just like to ask you some questions if you don't mind:after your interview, when did you learn that it was successfull? Were you initially informed thru email about it?
God Bless

rainman: Thanks for reading my blog. I'm glad you found it useful. Tama ka--a little more patience!
parvo: Thanks for the additional info! I'll try to add it to my future updates. I'll check out Kiwibank and I think everyone will find the IRD info very useful.
popsy: After the interview, the only official news about passing the interview was the WTR letter (invitation to apply for a WTR visa). And, no, we did not receive any email before the WTR letter. (We received a note from the post office saying that we have registered mail for pickup.) _________________ http://www.tiaong.com/

Hi Ernie (Sesame)!
Actually si Mrs ang madalas mag-post dito. Nakikisingit lang ako. Aba malapit na yung Feb 17. Sige pare paki post naman ung email address mo if you don't mind so I could give my new CP.
By the way, meron ka na bang sea freight arrangement? Meron akong na-contact and this one seems to be the most reasonable in terms of pricing and service. 5 BB boxes for only 16,500.00 pesos (Auckland or Wellington) if you're interested or anyone out there here's the contact number: 0916-3379220 or email jun@asianconsolidation.com.ph. The contact person is Jun Sopoco c/o Asian Consolidation Int'l Services. Inc.

Thanks Bengab, goodluck!
To all the "waiters" malapit na yan just hang on!

To Uno,
Yes, once they charged you of the migrant levy that means approved na. I got an email from the v.o. informing us of the approval and asking us to pay the migrant levy so she could send back the passports. Dun sa earlier namin na post,my wife mentioned about the citibank snag. True enough, we couldn't rely on citibank because while they gave their prior approval they wanted NZIS to call them regarding the transaction. Our v.o. told us she won't call citibank so according to her, it's better to pay through bank draft. So we cancelled the citibank pending transaction and just bought a bank draft from ANZ. Better check your v.o. if indeed the citibank transaction was honored. If it was then your passports are on their way back! Congrats! |
