cHUYDE IBUBUKING NA KITA...kasi tawa ako ng tawa dito sa bahay kahit mag-isa...You know what? She even tasted the chocolates which was served for the guest but the guest didn't eat it...Sabi niya..."ANG SARAP CORS?HAHAHA.Grabe talaga takaw ni chuyde sa chocolates...kahit dito sa NZ may factory na ng Cadbury...I mean they have their own Cadbury products here..not imported from Australia or anywhere...Talagang enjoy na enjoy kami sa work namin though sa first 3 days (training period) gusto na naming umiyak...it's really a very hard labor mind of work...but now we enjoyed it..(i mean I enjoyed it so much ewan ko kay chuyde)Maganda exposure mo..sometimes talking to their guest..madaldal kasi ako...hehehe.At know what?I still continue to work in Caltex during my day offs in the Hotel...Ibang exposure din yon kasi(more on customer service) at very nice and good persons mga boss namin(mga Kiwis both in Caltex as well as in Hilton)Marami pang mga good benefits Hilton esp.if you'll be a part of them for quite sometime...Mostly Asians ang nasa housekeeping like Chinese,Vietnamese and Indians..may mga puti pero parang 2-4 lang.Gusto namin mga Insik, kasi mostly mga students...they're very good too...I mean I like working here in Hilton coz very friendly din environment not only in our dept. but as well as in other depts.Napansin namin yan during the Xmas party.
O sige til on my next tsika...Day off ko kasi tom. Thurs sa Caltex naman duty..then Xmas day duty sa Hilton...medyo busy nga making lots of money para ipadala diyan Pinas...hehehe/Sige bye...God bless...

JPE:
Hi! What are your plans during the holiday break? I'll be driving up north with a couple of friends on the 24th but once in Auckland we go our separate ways until we meet again to head back to welly on the 27th. I've no place to go so maybe you can 'adopt' me during that period?
What do you think?

Hi guys. I and my partner will be on our way to Auckland on 26 December, We'll be leaving first NAIA for Bangkok on flight TG 0621. It's Thai Airways I believe. Anyway, departure time at NAIA is 2:20 pm. So, is there anyone out there who is on the same flight? Make a sound if any.
I won't be long here for now. We are a bit busy preparing for our departure. Thanks again. I'll be back in touch with you one more time perhaps before I leave. Then the next ones will be coming from Auckland. I hope there will be no glitches on our way to NZ. Pray for us, then. Thanks!
Congrats to those who have just received their approval notification.
Cheers!

Hi Everyone!
I also got the good news today, Lalitporn just emailed me saying my WTR visa got approved. I submitted my WTR docs last August 16, so basically it took exactly 4 months and 1 week for me to get my passport back. I was a bit worried because my VO was originally Johnson Xu, then all of a sudden they assigned Lalitporn C. to my file, so I figured the processing might take longer. And it did, at least longer than the 2 months I originally thought it would take.
Although I was getting impatient, I decided not to email the VO cos I was sure NZIS had their hands full with all the Philippine applications, and from what I read here in the forum, their replies were always very short and vague. What I just wanna tell you all is to have some patience and faith in the system of NZIS. Ever since I began my application in March 2004, I've noticed that NZIS and their staff have been very systematic and efficient; when they say they'll get back to you before a certain date, they always do (unlike Canada, when they said in 18 months you'll hear from them, you dont! And it's been two years!). I was complaining about how long the WTR processing took, but I remembered that NZIS never mentioned when they'd get back to me, so I cannot fault them for that. And hey at the end of the day, they're still faster than Canada!
So have faith, I'm sure all those waiting will get there WTRs in due time. Oh, one more thing, Lalitporn called my office twice this week asking Personnel about my employment status and educational background, I guess it was some kind of background check. The nice people in Personnel informed me that NZIS had called, so I kinda suspected that the WTR was gonna be released soon. Plus it made me feel better knowing that something was being done about my application. So if your office starts getting calls from your VO or anyone in NZIS, you can bet the visa is on its way!
Good luck everyone and Merry Christmas! |

|
|
Hi guys! Merry Christmas!
I'd been packing and repacking my things. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to reduce my check-in load into 20 kilograms. There are some things that I want to bring right away because I don't feel secured without them. But I'm a bit afraid the charge will render me significantly poorer before I set foot in Auckland.
If the excess load will not cost me much, I am willing to let P5,000 go so that I could just bring my most important belongings.
SO, IS THERE ANYONE WHO KNOWS EXACTLY HOW MUCH I MUST PAY FOR A SPECIFIC WEIGHT OF EXCESS BAGGAGE? If you are not sure, please an estimate will do. Kindly let me know, if possible before tomorrow, if you have an idea. Sorry for the hurry. Am leaving my place of residence on Monday, 26 Dec. at 10 a.m.
Thanks again. Have a happy Christmas.
Waiters, hang on. It won't be long.
Best regards,
Kidra Tristal

Hi Kidra_tristal!
My friend who left last Dec. 17 via Qantas Airlines paid US$21.80 per kilo for her excess baggage. Also, she mentioned that we must give allowance for the weight. Their weighing scale is heavier of an estimated of 2 kls. per balikbayan box.
Good luck to your new life in NZ!
To all!
Happy Holidays!!! |

Hi there. Kidra Tristal here. I'm here now with my partner in Auckland. We are living with a couple of good friends for the next two weeks. The trip was rough as we had to run all the way from our first plane to Bangkok up to the tail of our next plane to Auckland. Our flight to Bangkok arrived at a time when our second plane should have already left for Auckland. Nonetheless, they waited for us. It was not our fault after all.
A word on your carry on baggage. Mine was way beyond 7 kilos but no greater than the stipulated dimension of 42 (L+W+H). I could have brought some more had I learned that the airport people would not mind my baggage.
We are a little busy by now. It's really a must that one must find a job here ASAP. Things are expensive here.
I had already opened a bank account this morning at Westfield, a mall near the place we are I am currently living. I didn't ask too many questions.
I'll have more stories to tell as soon as I am fully settled.
Thanks to God. The glitches that we experienced all the way from Manila to Auckland were so minor that we can only laugh at the thought of them.
The immigration officials in Auckland, by the way, will jump right away on you if you brought some food in your baggage. You will be stopped and questioned. Don't lie. They got canines that could tell and give signs that you brought foods or fruits.
Last week, according to my friend, someone from Argentina set his hands on cocaine. The dog was able to detect the presence of such substance in his body. So he got the swab test. He was tested positive and was promptly deported. Also a traveler in our plane was stopped when the dog started sniffing him. I didn't look back for fear of being mistaken as his companion. I just wanted to be out and get my energy back at that time.
I won't be long again.
See you here.
Hi Corex! I'll get in touch with you in a while.
Cheers,
Kidra Tristal

hi to all and advance happy new year!
Congrats to kidra....
Just want to say that as one of the waiters, we got our patience and strength to overcome anxiety from our Lord Jesus Christ that in His time our visas will arrive....
So to all the waiters like me, TRUST IN THE LORD always.... |

We had a merrier Christmas this year! Got an email from Lalitporn last Dec. 22 advising us of the approval of our WTR visa application, then, we received our passports and documents last Dec. 24 via DHL. Couldn't stop smiling since then.
For the "waiters", don't stop believing and never cease praying. Have faith!
