Pinadala ulit sakin ng principal yong contract, this time with my name on it as Contractor. Sabi ko sa kanya bigyan ako ng offer of employment pero ito parin pinadala nya sakin kaya what i did is to send the contract to NZIS Bangkok cc: Wellington office and the employer for verification purposes. Sabado ngayon kaya wala pang sagot, siguro sa Monday i will get a reply from Bangkok office. Masaya naman ako kasi maski papano merong nagka-interest sa qualifications ko. Although marami akong ina-apply-an online, usually sagot nila "you have to have a work visa or a resident of NZ to be considered for the vacancy". I understand that. Bihira talaga yong company na magha hire ng tao na di pa nila nakikita or interview. Meron din sumasagot sakin na pag nandyan naraw ako sa NZ tawagan ko sila para mahanapan ako ng job. Ang job ko kasi Ka Uro is in Administration/Executive Assistant/Customer Service kaya ang daming job openings. Pero wala ito sa Priority list ng NZIS kaya isa ding magpapatagal siguro ng processing ng Skilled Migrant application ko. Sana nga maski WTR for 3 months kakagatin ko na kasi alam ko marami namang trabaho akong makikita at sabi mo sufficient na yong 3 months to find a job.
Actually alam mo kung bakit ako nag apply dito sa NZ kasi ready na lahat mga papers ko for Canada application, kulang lang yong financial part. Sa Canada kasi you have to complete all the paper requirements plus the money that they require - ok na, mag-antay ka nalang ng medical after 1.5 yrs. Kaya habang wala pa akong pera, i am using this idle time to apply sa NZ. At nagustuhan ko na ang NZ kasi very promising country economically, clean environment, family-oriented, hindi pa masyadong matao, low unemployment rate. Kaya lang agonizing naman pala pag-aantay ng results ng application. Piece by piece binibigay ang results. Although maliit lang ang kailangan na pera sa umpisa, as you go along lumalaki rin ang expenses mo kasi kailangan pang pumunta sa Bangkok (kasama mo pa pati spouse). Then after that hindi parin sigurado pala ang PR. Yong ngalang mas mabilis kaysa sa Canada. Pag nabigyan ka naman ng WTR you have to go there alone para maghanap muna ng trabaho. Kakailanganin mo ngayon ang malaking pera at this stage to sustain yourself at least for the first 3 months. Kaya we have to brace ourselves with this possibility na principal lang muna ang mauna to find a job then family follows after 3 months. Ka Uro, isa pa ring kalaban ko is my age, i am already 41 years old kaya i have to be on the highway while there are still opportunities before the trip ends. Kaya advise ko sa iba habang bata pa, decide and settle early.
