| 24 year old Male from US, looking for someone to hike/adventure across the South Island during the beginning of DEC 2010 preferably a female adventurer. Down for anything, fishing, skydiving, bungee, just trying to have a relaxing two weeks see the sights and enjoy some of the small towns and good atmospheres. |

I'll be flying from Austin, TX into Salt Lake City on Friday morning. I land at 9:45 am and will drive up in a rental car. In response to your other reply, in the past two years I have been above 12k ft on Boundary Peak (NV), Humphrey Peak (AZ), Wheeler Peak (NM), and Mount Elbert (CO) while high pointing. My last class 3/4 above 12k ft was Longs Peak (CO) in 2004. My last trad climb was in 2004 and my last top-rope was within the past two months. I'm comfortable climbing 5-5.8 trad and up to 5.9 top-roping. I've climbed higher rated climbs both ways, but that was years ago. I'm fairly fast ascending over all terrain, but will be slower on the descent. For comparison, my brother and I hiked Mount Elbert (11.2 miles and 4850 ft gain) in under 8 hours. It is longer, but it is also a walk up.
I have not done the other 12ers in Idaho. I'd like to someday, though. |
