hi mei,
i posted something in my blog titled "Settle in NZ in 12 weeks" but it's mostly in Filipino language. I can rewrite it in english for you, but if you know a Filipino to interpret it for you then that will save me the trouble.

the site is http://a-pinoy-in-nz.blogspot.com/

i also know a few malaysians over here that might be able to help you get started.

Hi Cil,
I don't have idea of Canadian English kaya di ko ma-compare. Different english speaking countries have different accents. normal yan. itulad ng mga scots, irish, aussies, nzers, mga bombay, at mga pinoy iba-iba ang accent sa english. each develop their own accents and that is good because it becomes part of their national identity.

cheers
