Or purong tagalog ang gamitin natin. PARA NA RIN SA ATING PROTEKSYON AT SEGURIDAD. Maraming salamat. |

The owner of the forum asks us to post in English or Maori. We tend to return to the vernacular but as mere posters, we need to respect his wishes.
If you believe sensitive information need to be disseminated to Pinoys, you can use the "PM" button on the lower left side of every post, next to the "Profile" button. A lot of posters here correspond through PM when they talk about sensitive information.
If ever, the "banyagas" are not the ones we should worry about. I had one incident in this forum where a lady asked about an "immigration consultant" based in Manila used by her sister. Some comments were not in favour of that consultant. Then all of the sudden the lady PM'ed me begging me to erase her post relating to that consultant. It was the first time a poster asked for such request, and my suspecting mind thinks that the consultant is a lurker in this forum and found out who they actually are and probably forced them not to participate in the forums lest something nefarious would happen in their application.
I did what she wished but PM'ed her back urging her to report to the IAA (Immigration Agents Authority of NZ) if something illegal is happening with her sister's agent. |

I agree. That's exactly my point. Instead of posting sensitive topics here in English, Pinoys should just PM them. The problem starts when they solicit response from people-at-large. Who in particular are they going to PM then? |

If they are unsure who to discuss matters with, they could start asking in the general forum a general query.
For instance, the very hot topic of NZ Nursing Council denying second-courser nurses. A nurse could ask on the main forum "Are there Pinoys who took nursing as a second course have successfully registered with the council? I have a query and it would be better if I correspond by PM." Hopefully someone would answer.
The forum administrator, Garry, has been tolerant of us when we speak in the vernacular. I am unsure how long his tolerance would last and I would rather abide by his rules and play nice than be denied access to the forum, and I urge everyone to do the same.
By the way, what sort of "sensitive information" are we talking about? A lot of posters do ask but keep personal identification to a minimum as to avoid being "outed." Once correspondence via PM is established, some personal info like real names, email addresses and that sort come to light. |
