hi everyone.
i really appreciate this forum. it helps a lot. thanks.
anyway, i would like to clarify this matter if it is really
necessary that we have a job offer before we lodge
our EOI. because as far as what ive read in the NZIS
site, so long as you reach 100 pts and you pass all areas
in their Quick Check (i.e. age, good health and character,
english proficiency), you can now submit an EOI.
isn't it enough that we trust our qualifications and work
experiences for us to be invited to apply for visa, that
we still need to obtain a job offer before EOI?
i hope somebody can give me light.
thanks a lot.
all the best to all! _________________ everyday is a happy day. |

Hi cha,
Job offer is not a must for your EOI, although NZIS made a separate verifications for those Skilled Migrants apps with job and without job Offers. You can visit their website and go to Bangkok as location and read the processing time. Thanks. |

thanks a lot Tamulmol. it's a great help, at least
now I know i can still pursue on applying. that's
a real good news...
anyway, if in case you have an idea, im quite
confused with the NZQA's International Qualification
Assessment and New Zealand Qualification Assessment.
For a Filipino like me and with a qualification or a degree
that is completed in none of the list of recognised
universities, which assessment will I avail for? Also,
is it ok that during EOI, I will only avail for a pre-assessment
(not for the full assessment)?
Thanks once again.

Hello cha,
First of all, before you can apply for Skilled migrant category, your university must be in their list of recognized qualifications and your course will fall under the occupational shortage list.
Yes you can ask for an interim assessment for NZQA first and take the full assessment after the ITA. Thanks and God bless. |

Yep I will have my university recognised or my qualification assessed
before I will submit for EOI.
Thanks a lot for the replies, tamulmol.
Are you in NZ now? or are you processing your application by this time?
If so, how did you start it and what are your qualifications?
Best Regards,
cha |

hi guest,
I'm still waiting for my ITA. My EOI was selected last Oct 27, 2004 and based on NZ website they will allocated those Oct EOI by April.
I'm an ECE graduate from UE Caloocan. |
