Hello,
May I ask how many months usually it will take before you are contacted by the Shanghai branch for the interview? I submitted all my ITA docs last April, and hopefully I can be contacted for interview. |

hi NZSearch,
Wala pa rin akong interview schedule ilan beses na rin me magfollowup ng status kay Jessie Zhao. Last na email ko mga 2nd wk of Feb sabi nya bigyan nya ako ng update by 1st wk ng March.
Ganito kasi yung...

Hello everyone,
Bago po ako sa forum. KK join ko lng. The reason I joined is because I just received a confirmation of my CO at sabi nya na initial assesment daw ng file ko sa May 13(shanghai branch)and told me to hear from her after the given date.
Ibig po ba sabihin nyan eh I might expect an interview?
Na submit ko na lahat ng requiremets ko including IELTS and Med.(Skilled Migrant)
thank you po in advance. |

@ozner - the CO might ask for other requirements, or most probably interview na agad. She will send you an email about the interview schedule kung okay yung assessment ng docs mo.
@eponime - nainterview ka na? Ako, nainterview na last April 15, then Jessie released the interview report last April 22, saying na irereleased na yung decision about our application after 10 working days. But until now, lagpas na ng 10 working days, wala pa ring decision. Nagfollow-up na ko kay Jessie yesterday but she didn't reply.
Ganito ba nangyari din sa iba, na hindi lumabas yung decision even if sinabing ilalabas within 10 workiung days? |

Hello ichiman,
Gaya ng sabi mo, nag asked ng additional requirements. I've submitted those requirements last 22nd ng june and my CO started calling my former employers(I was informed by my current employer that NZ called last 29th). Sa tingin nyo po ba aabot pa eto ng 2-3months bago ako maka receive ng email ulit sa CO? Pacencya na po masyado lng ako tense na walang idea sa timeframe ng result. Thank you po ulit sa patuloy nyong pag assist through this forum.

| @OzneR, sa pagkakaalala ko, inabot ako ng almost one year from the time na naipadala ko yung first set of docs ko bago lumabas yung schedule ko for the interview. kasama na dun sa 1 year time frame yung pagpapadala nung additional supporting docs. |

Hi guys,
I received a PPI letter, after a week of my second assessment where my work experience in dubai was accepted but not in with Taiwan resulting in the decline of points...which states:
Based on our verification, we decided to award you points for your work experience at Dubai and Philippines. We are satisfied that your 3 years and 3 months’ work experience as a Support Technician in Dubai meets the specifications set out for work experience as an ICT Support Engineer in an area of absolute skills shortage on LTSSL. Although U.A.E. is not listed as a comparable labour market to New Zealand’s labour market, as your work experience in U.A.E. meets the requirement on LTSSL, this work experience is therefore recognised. And your work experience in Philippines appears to be relevant to your recognised qualification and gained in a comparable labour market to New Zealand’s market.
On the basis of our verification, we do not consider that your work experience in Taiwan meets the specifications set out as work experience in an absolute skills shortage on LTSSL; see attached extract. Taiwan is not listed as a comparable labour market and your employers do not meet SM11.10.1 b being multinational organisations. Therefore, we do not recognise your work experience in Taiwan.
My reply....
Dear Jessie,
I would like to express my sincere thanks for considering my work experience in Dubai and as you mentioned that it meets the specifications set out for work experience as an ICT Support Engineer in an area of absolute skills shortage on LTSSL. After further review with my possible options and in response to your concerns, please find below comments.
SKILLED WORK EXPERIENCE
It occurred to my mind that Quanta HR might have provided you with limited information which resulted in the decline for points.
When I applied for Quanta Computer Inc. through recruitment agency in the Philippines, they were looking for qualified computer engineers or equivalent qualification. At the time I was a fresh graduate and the only work experience I had claimed was my On-the-Job training for several corporate and small companies, which I demonstrated that the level of skills I acquired from these companies can contribute to the requirements for the position. I was hired as an Assistant Technician with a job function to diagnose, repair, and maintain, laptop and desktop computers. I was assigned for Production Engineering 1(PE1) Section, Manufacturing Department 2(M2) - Dell Computers, Systems Manufacturing Division. A year after, my skill contributions to the department opened to new learning opportunities. I started participating in training newly recruited technicians, I started supporting RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and QA/QE Department diagnosing and resolving complex system problems, and SDA (System Design Assurance) performing tests on behavior, functionality and integrity of systems (stress test). On my 3rd year, I was appointed to lead a team of technicians for Production Engineering 3 (PE3), Manufacturing Department 3(M3)-Apple Computer, Production Line G and was assigned to Production Engineering 2(PE2)-HP, Compaq, Gateway, Fujitsu, and Sharp during my last three months prior to my end of contract. It is true that Taiwan is not listed in the comparable labour market and Quanta Computer Inc. is not a multinational organization, but taking into consideration that their partners/clients such as DELL, Apple, HP, Compaq, Fujitsu, and Sharp are just some of the multinational companies domiciled in the US and Japan.
My work experience with Quanta Computer Inc. is the core of my key competencies in the IT industry to date, as a result to my employment with OSRP LLC in the Philippines which my Apple Computer skills was the key to my successful employment and with GBM PSD Services in Dubai which my skills and experience supporting multinational companies attracted my employer and hired me on the same day of my interview, and recently been promoted to Support Engineer which took effect last 1st June 2011.
I sincerely believe, if given a chance, my work experience with Quanta Computer Inc. will be of high contribution for my employability in New Zealand and be recognized under ICT Support Engineer in an area of absolute skills shortage on LTSSL.
I humbly request your kind consideration to look into it and verify this information with the new contact persons provided below for my work experience and job functions. In addition to this, please feel free to go through the links below which provides more information on the company and might help in the verification process.

Bonus Points for Partner’s Recognize Qualification
After going further research on my EOI Application, I’ve noticed that I had claimed points from my partner under Section M: M3a (Partner’s Recognized Qualification) under policy SM14.10.I searched deeper into the SMC policies and found out that she lacked 0.5 points with her IELTS. Through a more comprehensive search I found out that some applicants having the same case has been advised to re-sit IELTS before the final decision is made. I find it conflicting due to the date you have specified which is July 29, 2011. Secondly, I found out that there is an option to pre-purchase ESOL training but I couldn’t find a policy related to it that qualifies me to claim points for my partner.
In this regard, I would like to seek your advice in this matter to be able to claim points for my partner while meeting the deadline.
----------------
Any additional help and advice in my case is highly appreciated.
I'm currently procuring my part-time certificates in the philippines to claim additional points for my skilled work experience.
By the way, as stated by my CO July 29 will be the final decision.
Thank you in advance for any help you can share.
I have also posted this at "F1 Pls. Pakistani" thread hoping I would received further advice before the deadline. |
