Hi everyone I'm applying NZ job online.Is there a possibility that I will be hired even if I'm a pinay...BSA yung major ko... Hope someone will help me with thos. Thanks

I am guessing that BSA is Bachelor of Science in Accounting?

Being a Pinay is not a hindrance to getting a job in NZ. However, with the recession still gripping NZ jobs are hard to come by. With this in mind, the NZ Dept of Labour (which is the head office of NZ Immigration) adapted a "Kiwi-first" policy of hiring locals first before allowing companies to hire overseas workers such as you.

That is the way it is and unfortunately, that will be the way for the next year or so.

Unless you have skills that are so in demand here in NZ, you have a very low chance of being hired right now. But this should not be a hindrance for you to try applying since this would be a good opportunity for you to see what kind of accounting skills are in demand in NZ and you should do your utmost best to acquire them accordingly if you do not already have them.

Also, try researching if there is a registration for accountants here in NZ. By registering you probably might have a greater opportunity of being hired.

Another possible way of being hired here in NZ is to study or become a skilled migrant. All information can be found on www.immigration.govt.nz.
