Hello,

I received a working holiday visa last July & am planning on using in this coming June. A couple months ago I pleaded no contest to a petty theft charge. The whole case was a misunderstanding, but my lawyer advised me to plead this way & so I did. I was wondering if I had to let NZ immigration know about this? I read on the NZ website that they only do background checks on those who want to stay in NZ for 24 months or more, but I'll only be staying for 12 months (I'm on the United States Scheme). Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you!
