March 2010 from North to South with my Van

Hello! My name is Miriam, I am 20 years old and from Germany. In March 2010 I will travel to the South Island with my Van. I also have a bed in it, a cooker, a cupboard, a radio etc. We can sleep in the Van for free as the bed is big enough. The ferry to the South Island costs 180$. But if we are two people we just pay half. It’s the same with the patrol. I have a Diesel so it’s really cheap! I need just 50$ for a full tank. That would be 25$ each. As I have still seen many places on the North Island I just want to spend one or two weeks to drive from Auckland to Wellington along the beach (east). When we arrive in Christchurch I want to pick up my boyfriend and travel with him through the South Island.
