To everyone, can you please advise me what will I do with NZQA qualification assessment?

I am done with my EOI & also received my ITA last Dec 23, 2009. In my ITA, I am requested to secure NZQA (IQA) assessment together with my partner.Do we still need to apply for our qualification in order to be recognized or not to NZQA? We are on process of securing all the documents & requirements for ITA.

Our qualifications are in the list of qualifications exempt from assessment that's why I did'nt secure PAR before I applied my EOI.We graduated in accredited schools/institutions as well.

What is the difference of the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment & List of Qualifications Recognised as an Exception in the link below?

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/formsandfees/formsandguides/lorq

Please advise us if we still need to apply for NZQA (IQA). Or should I need to since it was written in my ITA Confused Thanks for all your replies.

Regards.

"In my ITA, I am requested to secure NZQA (IQA) assessment together with my partner."

It's very clear you need it.

Thanks for the reply.

I have also another question, regarding still my on recognized qualification.

It was requested as well in my ITA, to provide original evidence about my degree granting institution accredited by one of the following listed bodies below:

MSA = Middle States Association of Schools & Colleges
NASC= The Northwest Association of Schools & Colleges
NCA = North Central Association of Colleges & Schools
NEASC-CIHE= New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc./ Commission on Institutions of Higher Education
NEASC-CTCI = New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc./ Commission on Technical & Career Institutions
SACS-CC = Southern Association of Colleges & Schools/Commission on Colleges
SACS-COEI = Southern Association of Colleges & Schools/Commission on Occupational Education Institutions
WASC-Sr = Western Association of Schools & Colleges /Accrediting Commision for Senior Colleges & Universities

I hope you can help me what is the process to get any certification for this?

Thanks.

Depends on where you are and where you got your qualification/degree.

Check your Transcript of Records or school certificate. You might find accreditation info there.

Hi,

We have the same experienced, I have received my ITA this Jan. 2010 only and it also states that I need a full assessment from NZQA, but me and my wife's qualifications are listed on the exemption from assesment. I immediately send e mail to the person in the ITA. Which she immediately responded that they were sorry that they forgot to delete that statement, which requires us for a NZQA assessment. So fortunately we dont need an assessment now.

Do the same.

Regards.

Hi Megawatts,

Good for you Very Happy

I received my ITA which was assessed by Henderson Branch, NZ and they also sent it through post .I did not receive any email for my ITA since Henderspn Branch informed me that they will just sent it through post and not emailed. But I have their email contact so I 've sent my query immediately when I've known about NZQA assessment. My school & degree is in the list of exemption but still they require me to be assessed as per in my ITA letter.

Henderson branch advised me to send all my queries directly to Shanghai Branch which I will be sending my ITA lodgement later. But I don't know someone there yet as I don't have VO assigned for me yet. So,I just sent my query in their general contact email address last Thursday. Unfortunately, I have not received any feedback yet.

How about you? whom did you receive your ITA letter and which branch are you going to lodge it later?

Thanks for replying.

@engr2008: thanks for the info, I will check on that too.

regards,

Hi,

Please send an email to this person. I think she is handling The NZIS in Shanghai, China Branch.

Lisa Weakley
E: lisa.weakley@dol.govt.nz
W: www.immigration.govt.nz

She is the one who answered me that there is no need for an assessment for our qualification.

All the best..

Just thinking aloud:

An email address is similar to a home address. It is very specific to a person. I don't think it is appropriate to be giving away online the email address of someone else. It's similar to giving away a physical address to a stranger. We don't want that do we?

The exception perhaps is when the email address is avaliable to the general public (e.g. displayed online through the website, etc.).

Any communication between an individual and that of the representative of a NZ govenrment agency in the latter's official capacity - is just that - between the two of them. One should not be sharing any private details (that will lead to identification of any of the parties) to other people without consent.

Kawawa naman yung may ari ng email address - alam na ng buong mundo address niya.

Again it's just my view. Others may disagree. But I assure my friends and those who sent me emails, I am definitely protecting them and their private details. perhaps it's just me.

Hi Megawatts,

So it's mean that you are also assigned in Shanghai Branch for your ITA lodgement?

Yes its the same email that I've sent my query? I've sent my email directly to Ms Lisa and she did'nt reply yet. Did she send you your ITA?

I sent again an email to Henderson Branch and copied Shanghai Branch email address & Ms Lisa as well. I hoping that they will reply. If I will not receive their reply until tom then on Friday I'm going to call them:-)

Though, Im already on process of acquiring all my documents needed.

Just want to ask you, this is in regards with my detailed job reference. It's not possible for me to get job descriptions from my previous jobs and what I'm planning to do is to make a DECLARATION STATEMENT instead.I will state all my job descriptions there,is this fine?

Since, we are staying abroad so I will just go in the Philippine Embassy for the notorization.Do I still need to include one witness from my previous & current job to be included in my declaration or my signature as affiant in the declaration statement will be fine? ANY IDEA PLEASE?

Thanks & regards,

Hello..

Yup my case was also assigned in Shanghai Branch..
Got any news from them?

And for this question:

Just want to ask you, this is in regards with my detailed job reference. It's not possible for me to get job descriptions from my previous jobs and what I'm planning to do is to make a DECLARATION STATEMENT instead.I will state all my job descriptions there,is this fine?

Frankly I don't have the answers yet, but perhaps our friend Wellingtonianbuddy (who is mostly waiting for my reply..joke)here or other experts could shed some light on this., and pag nagkaroon ako nang tamang sagot dyan I will immediately share it with you.. by the ways bro, were in the face of the world are you right now? mukhang nauna ka sa akin yata ng 1 month nag submit ng EOI mo?

To Wellingtonianbuddy- sorry dude if I had been a little bit to harsh, lets call it a day ok? peace..
