Hi to all
I'm Jetro 34 years old, currently working here in Auckland for 4 months as a Fitter & Turner contract of 2 years. I just want to apply PR but my problem is last Nov. 26, 2009 INZ removed fitter & turner in the list of long term skilled shortage.
But Fitter & Turner is still in the list of skilled Occupations (Appendix 11)part B.
My school is not in the list of recognise qualification. Di rin ako nag-take ng IELTS. 4 months palng ako dito sa NZ. But I have 10 years experienced as Fitter & Turner in the Phil.
Am I qualify to apply PR?
Or should I wait the next List of Long Term Skilled Shortage List(LTSSL) Anual Review ng INZ baka ma-include ulit ang Fitter & Turner sa July2010 to get a bonus points for absolute skilled shortage?
I need your advise po..sana matulungan nyo ako.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Jetro |

If you were given your contract during the time na kasama pa sa long term skill list ang work mo, baka pwede mo i-reason out yun sa PR appli mo. also if you can get a letter from your employer supporting your PR appli and assuring NZIS na kelangan ng company ang skill mo and willing sila mag provide ng tuloy-tuloy na trabaho, baka makatulong yun.
or you might want to wait for 1year before ka mag apply para mahaba na ang nz experience mo when you submit your appli- baka meron additional points oag ganun (di ako sure pero asa nzis manual naman siguro yun, tingnan mo na lang)
goodluck! |

wow, special mention pa ako - eh di mo ba alam reputation ko rine?
anyhoo, sorry for late reply - holidays and all.
First thing off, forget that visa for 25-35 year olds. That does not apply for people who do not have New Zealand educational qualifications or equivalent.
Second, it was a shame that fitter and turner was removed on the LTSSL list, but in the end, you cannot claim points on it because your education/skill training is not recognized diba? No qualification recognition no LTSSL points unfortunately.
If your education is not recognized, then the usual step is to certify your educational qualifications through NZQA. Google the website for information and requirements.
Have you tried making a quick check on how many points you currently have? Try this link: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/pointsindicator/
I think you need not that much points since though you dont have recognized education you have a valid work offer in a skilled job. Good luck and welcome to the forum. |
