I received an e-mail of the interview date June 8, 2009. They gave a sample questionare that I should send back at least 2 days prior to the interview. So it took about more than 5 months after I submitted the ITA. If I have a choice; I would have done (ITA submission) it later this year as it would given me more time to prepare (Im still working in Singapore) and at least I guess; it would be a better time to look for a job in NZ...it's all about the timing. But since I am single, there is no other reason for me not to try. Good luck again to all of you. : ) |

so it might really take a year before they contact us for an interview?
ang hirap lang kasi, we're planning on getting married na next year. hindi kami maka plan ng date, etc kasi we're waiting for the ITA results. Target namin to get married is August 2010. Siguro naman ba that's enough time?
Ang hirap. |

How does an MBA degree from an AACSB-accredited school help here in NZ? I have one and so far, it's been worth about as much as a roll of toilet paper. Although I only found out it's AACSB-accredited after reading your post. Any tips on how I can use it effectively here in NZ? |

It may be useful when you do further studies in a number of business schools in NZ/OZ.
Some NZ companies send their employees for further studies to EQUIS/AACSB business schools only and no other.Hence...
Consultancy firms need to boost their profile by having employees with advanced degrees from reputable educ providers. Hence... |

I feel sorry though that you think of your MBA as a roll of toilet paper with an AACSB tag on it.
I surmise different industries/sectors in NZ place varying magnitude of values on advanced degrees. In research-oriented industries/sectors, I'm sure advanced studies are highly valued.
As for me, my advanced studies definitely made wonders working in a research institute. |
