Hi Guys esp to my Kababayans!
Good Day!
My family is planning to move to NZAuckland in Jan or Feb 2010 via WTR visa. We can actually move around Oct-Dec09, but reading on the news and blog discussion about the recession and job situations in NZ, my wife and I think it will be best to move around Jan-Feb2010.
I would like to ask esp those in Accounting field for job outlook in Acctg. My expertise are in :
1) Management Accounting (Costing, Inventory, Analysis-variances, Forecast & Budget)
2) Systems (SAP R/3 FICO Superuser, teamlead in implementation and Oracle Invty and Cost module)
3) General Ledger and Recons
I am frequently searching for acctg jobs in seek and trademe. I tried to send application, and 3 (agents) told me I qualified but rejected later on since interivew should be in NZ (which giving me thoughts to go to NZ this year).
Are Accounting jobs affected also by the rule Kiwi/Local first before migrants ?
Thank you and enjoy the rest of the day!
Warm Regards,
GM |

Na-receive mo na ba yung WTR visa nyo? Di ba after 3 months na receive mo yun, you have to leave within that alloted timeframe? Meron bang option na you can decide when to leave? |

Hi RapRing,
No, we have not received the visa yet. We just finished our interview last week. WE plan to use the max period for the invitation for WTR, and the 3 month period moving to NZ.
Thanks & Regards,

getting a real accounting job culd be challenging...
a pal asked the help of a recuitment consultant to "package" his application. it took almost two years before he finally landed an accounting-related position here in Wellington. his hurdles include alck of nz experience, lack of nz formal educational training in accounting, and of course, he's not kiwi. it took heaven and earth for him andn his recuitment consutlant to convince the potential employer that he can deliver. he started as "agency- provided employee" (u knnow what i mean) , the employer ultimately liked him, and was formally hired as employee of the commpany with the consent of the reuitment consujltan. the next thing I knew, he was making weekly financial briefings with the directors of the medium sized company he works for here in Wellington.
hope this helps. |
