Hello everybody.
I'm scheduled to send my WTR docs by July. If all is well, I'll be there in NZ come November. I want to inquire if my kids can benefit free education even if I'm still holding WTR visa. |

yup! considered na domestic student ang anak mo up to secondary school basta valid ang work permit mo. "free" pero you still need to pay for uniform, books, etc. tsaka "donation" sa school. once PR ka na, pwede na mag student loan for tertiary or university. |

From what I have read in the ministry of health website, children under the age of 6 (and from my understanding, regardless of visa status) are eligible for free healthcare, including subsidized prescriptions.
But I am not sure for children older than that.
But as a rule, no citizen, no PR, or no 2 year work visa, not eligible for free healthcare. So best have a private health plan while on WTR, if you can afford it. |

| im on a wtr9 visa and bought private health insurance. getting sick or meeting an accident anytime during this 9-month period could drain you financially |
