hi,

i will be going to NZ on June 30. Can you recommend cheap places to stay at Auckland? I will be there for many months but I would like to stay in a temporary accommodation for a few days or weeks first while looking for a place to settle.

motels are from $50/day. You need to look at trademe/real estate to look for cheap accommodation as most landlords are looking for long term tenants. good luck!

If your budget is around $170.00, try looking at the YMCA or YWCA website for temporary accommodation at their hostels. You get a room by yourself but share everything else with the other dormers. It is smack middle in Auckland CBD (which is the best place to stay for the first few weeks).
