hello everyone. . I am new here and reading the topics here has helped me a lot!
I am a registered nurse and I am seriously considering to migrate to NZ but my concern is that I am diagnosed with Hep B. I have read a lot about Hep B here and it somewhat gave me hope on my case.
Makakatulong po ba sa case ko if i seek help from mga immigration consultants? Can they help me when it comes to denial of a visa due to health problems?
I want to do it on my own to save money but I am very hesitant due to my present health condition.
I badly need help on these matter.
Thank you very much. . |

While I have repeatedly made my opinion about "consultants" loud and clear, I think your situation is one of the instances where a professional and competent registered immigration consultant can be handy since your situation is more intricate than the most.
If you have cash to spare, probably shop around for a knowledgeable registered agent, with experience in handling cases such as yours, i.e. having a communicable disease as stated in the operations manual. Don't fall into the trap of immigration consultants sweet talking you and saying they can handle your case - grill them hard and long and ask for their experience on handling this kind of matter and if their answers are merely waffle, ditch them and move on to the next agent.
A list of registered agents is found on www.iaa.govt.nz
If you have limited cash flow, then try to research yourself what are the effects of your illness in your migration process. Frankly, as a general rule, no country would take you in based on your illness since it is highly communicable. You must deal with that matter. Your only chance in getting in is getting a medical waiver (intricate, time consuming and expensive task) on your illness; otherwise, your visa is denied. Good luck. |

Hi Marie,
I have also Hepa B. Sa tingin ko isa sa makakatulong sa iyo ay yung naka-experience same situation like this. May natanungan na din ako about this at PR na siya ngayon at sya rin ang principal. Kasi sa medical condition nla is with hepatitis b surface antigen positive/reactive AND WITH ABNORMAL function liver, so kung hindi abnormal ang function ng liver mo ay allowed ka na mag-apply, I'm sure alam mo naman yun at may mga previous ka na ring check-up. Try mo on your own na mag-aply kasi di naman makakatulong ang consultant sa medical condition mo.
