|

Your expert opinions and wisdom requested:
Initially we thought it better not to include our children in our EOI, only the principal applicant and partner so we can settle first then get the children later.
However I fear we may have more difficulties later, like do we need to become PR or Citizens first before we can get our children? What procedure do we go through then - sponsorship of dependents?
In that case that may mean LONG waiting period before we see our children again and maybe greater expense, if that would entail new filing fees.
Tama ba that if our objective is for us parents to settle first, isabay na whole family sa application but just delay the departure of the children until conditions for coming are favorable?
May I ask also what the experience of OTHER FAMILIES were?
Maraming Salamat.
Note: My children are 14, 15 and 20 y.o. |

I think dapat EOI pa lang kasamA na sila. you can decide naman na tsaka na sila susunod sa NZ basta na process ang papers nila. not sure about your 20y/o kung meron ba age limit dito sa NZ like yung sa U.S.
our gurus here can probably shed more light. goodluck! |

yeah, you should have included them in your EOI even though you plan to let them join you in NZ later on.
I have concerns though with your kid age 20 as he is already an adult(?). check nzis re: definition of a dependant child.
regards. |

If I read it right, Dependent child means she has no job yet, and requires the parent to submit a certification that he provides full financial support etc to the child. She may be a student or undergoing training. Incidentally, my 20 year old graduated last April 09, currently jobhunting, actually found a job and is scheduled for training from June 15 to mid July. Possible kaya we dont declare yet that she has a job, after all training pa lang sya? Or is it necessary for her to give up the job so we can include her in the application? We're currently completing our docs to meet the ITA deadline of September 09.

hiya,
Ok pa ata up to age 24, eto nasa manual ng nzis:
When determining whether a child of 17 to 24 years of age is totally or substantially reliant
on an adult (whether their parent or not) for financial support, visa and immigration
officers must consider the whole application, taking into account all relevant factors
including:
• whether the child is in paid employment, whether this is full time or part time, and its
duration;
• whether the child has any other independent means of financial support;
• whether the child is living with its parents or another family member, and the extent
to which other support is provided;
• whether the child is studying, and whether this is full time or part time
hope this helps. goodluck |

This HELPS very much, salamat.
Ask ko lang, ano FEES difference if we submit our ITA applying as a couple, not including family OR if we apply as a whole family.
I was thinking kasi in the amendments section of the ITA, i can change from couple to whole family.
I understand this will mean full medicals for each member - meaning P8,000 each (I inquired by phone at the Panel Doctor's clinics, most of them said P8000)
How about the application fee - package na ba for the whole family yun US$ 900 something?
Okay lang ba to ask the VO by email this kind of questions? O hindi dapat?
O madami na to. Sana ma accommodate nyo pa rin mga tanong.
God bless.

Hi Allure
I am repeating here my reply to your post about incuding your daughter :
pwede pa ihabol yung children mo esp the 21 yr old when you submit the ITA...
ganyan din ginawa namin... sa eoi we did not include our 24 yr old daughter kasi akala namin di na pwede....pero b4 we submit the ITA , somebody advised us to include our daughter...you can make amendments kasi dun sa ITA for any info that you need to change dun sa EOI....
but later on you will be asked to send proof that she is still financially dependent on you for support....
Sa awa ng Diyos, when we received the approval in principle early this month, kasama na approve yung daughter ko kahit 25 yrs old na sya ngayon at employed.
what they are looking at ay kung ano status nya when you lodge your application, so if unemployed pa sya when you lodge at financially dependent pa sa inyo for support, it doesn't matter if by the time your Pr is approved ay may work na sya.....pero to play safe sana ang income nya ay small lang para ma prove pa din na dpendent pa din sya sa inyo....
be ready to show proof that she is dependent to you.
in our case we send credit card statement showing that daughter is the supplementary card holder and proof that we pay for the credit card bills, cellphone bills, landline bills, grocery bills, proof that she lives in the family home,
mas mahirap kasi pag you will sponsor her later as an adult child...
hope this helps... i just want to share our experience....... |

Hi allure
continuation of my reply :
much better to include na yung children sa PR application nyo, anyway, once approved pwede naman mauna kayo mag asawa....the kids have about 2 yrs to follow...siguro by that time settled na kayo...at least hindi nyo na problema yung pag sponsor sa kanila..alam ko mas mahirap yun kesa yung kasama na agad sila sa original PR application...
when you sponsor them in the future , NZ Immig also questions why the kids are not included in the original applciation kung qualified naman silang isama... baka ma technical pa kayo.... |
