Yes you and your children (with him) can join him. Your husband is on a work visa; you will get a working visa as well.
I hope your hubby did declare you and the children as his spouse and dependent children on his work visa.
I did the same thing but in 2005, so there might be other steps that were included:
1. Download the Work Visa/Permit application form (Form 1015) from the Immigration website;
2. Have your husband download the "Form for partners supporting partnership-based temporary entry applications" (Form 1146);
3. Download the Medical and x-ray form (form 1007) from the Immigration website;
4. Complete Form 1015 (#1), including the your pictures and that of your children;
5. Gather documentation and evidence of your partnership with your husband and your children's parentage. This includes (but not limited to) marriage contract, birth certificates of your children, mortgage contracts that both of you signed as a couple, joint bank accounts, rental agreements signed by both of you as spouses, properties listed under your names as spouses, personal properties listed under your names as spouses, and pictures showing your partnership and your parentage of the children. More evidence might be required but wait for immigration to ask for it;
6. Research on some accredited hospitals/clinics and see what is the best one for you. The list is on the Immigration website;
7. You and your children will troop to the accredited clinic of your choice. Bring your filled up medical form with pictures (See #3), medical fee (so expensive!) and your kid's medical records, especially their vaccination charts. Two weeks before your medical exam, have yourselves checked by your personal doctor to see if you do have a clean bill of health. Otherwise, your visas will be delayed or worse, denied;
8. Call/email your spouse and remind him to fill up the sponsorship form (see #2) and have him go to the nearest solicitor (lawyer) in his area and have it attested. There is no fee, I repeat, no fee, for this. When this is done, have him sent this form to you in a secure courier service. I know it's expensive but you know how "reliable" our Post Office is;
9. Once you have completed #1 to #8, gather all of them and all your passports (must be valid for about two years to be sure; getting new passports and transferring your visas on the new passports is expensive!!), then submit all of them to immigration. I believe the method now implemented is you call this hotline and someone will take your residential address and a courier will pick up your application form, supporting documents, and passport;
10. Wait for the email confirmation by immigration. Then wait for results.
Good luck! |
