Whose full license expires August 2009 - three months from now. Remind her na lang to re-register, ha? |

You have signed your name in your application, above the signature is a long and boring "declaration" wherein you agree, among others:
I authorise INZ to make any enquiries it deems necessary in respect of the information provided on this form and to share this information with other government agencies (including overseas agencies) to the extent necessary to make decisions about my immigration status. I also consent to any organisation providing relevant information to INZ about me.
So there's no "irregularity" whatsoever if INZ will make a background check on you. There's this show showing in NZ wherein visa officers make routine background checks on potential migrants.
One episode showed a migrant applying as the son of a permanent resident. Visa officers trooped to the migrant's village and asked the neighbors to ask if the migrant is indeed the some of the PR holder. The "helpful" neighbors told the officers that he is actually a nephew of the PR holder. When asked by immigration the migrant told them that he is a nephew but he was "informally adopted" by his PR uncle; he can't show legal papers of adoption. Ayun, denied visa! |

|
|
Just to inform you that licensing for immigration advisers from offshore (outside New Zealand) becomes mandatory on 4 May 2010.
Always check the register of licensed advisers through IAA website > www.iaa.govt.nz - Remember to check status of renewal and type of permit held by an adviser (full, limited or provisional).
Before any engagement with an adviser, you should get an advance copy of contract and budgets which you can take home for scrutiny by an independent person, lawyer or contracts administrator. |
