hi.
in anticipation of the result of our application, we are wondering, what office will issue the WTR? the immigration office that assessed our application? ours was assessed by Trina Kuo in beijing, but was initially lodged in bangkok.
also, how long does it usually take to get the WTR from the time you send the requirements listed in their letter?
still keeping our fingers crossed,

your papers i suppose were transferred to beijing just like ours and you were assigned a different VO based in beijing. so beijing will likewise issue the WTR.
for 2nd question... usually, you'll get the visa within 2 wks to one month from the time you submitted all the requirements.

beijing received our application lasr march 2. our case officer said they'll issue the visas on or before the 2oth.  |

| nagsubmit din ako ng docs ko for wtr pero until now hindi pa din bumabalik ang passports ko, ML and SX din VO ko |

Let me just share a bit about what happened with mine. Beijing received my WTR documents on 08 April 2009 and approved my application on 13 April 2009. So, I waited and waited until 05 May when my sister became ill at ease because it took so long for my passport to be returned. We took the initiative to call Beijing Branch, Trina Kuo in my case, and we were informed that they sent back my documents the day my visa was approved! She even gave the tracking number for DHL. My documents had actually arrived 18 April yet, how's that!?! I didn't know which courier it was going to be sent through so I didn't know where to follow it up. I was so disappointed with DHL because that was very irresponsible in their part (and it was not the first time that a somewhat similar thing happened still with DHL). I had to go to their office myself and claim my documents. I had to tell them that it was such a very important document and that who would have taken accountability if I failed to fly to NZ because of that. Kesyo daw "not in service" daw ang number na nilagay ng sender doon. When infact, when I and my sister checked it 0 naman talaga instead 2 which they thought it was. O kaya naman, they could have called Beijing immigration themselves and tell them of the dilemma.
Anyway, baka this is also the case for others who seem to have waited quite long enough for their documents to arrive. You could call your local couriers or better yet, call Beijing and ask if your documents have been sent back already then ask for the tracking number. |
