Hey ya!
The Flexi Pass is a system where you buy hours of bus travel (usable on the inter city as well as the interislander ferry). see also http://www.flexipass.co.nz/
it's a quite convenient way to get around the island(s).
Unfortunately I have misjudged the time I spend on busses, so I have quite some travelling time left, to be exact: 34 hours.
To buy this amount of travelling time directly off the company is about 375$, I would give them away for 250$ (or make an offer).
