I was refused to enter New Zealand few weeks ago because I did not tell the immigration officer that I have intention to find job in NZ.
Now, I want to apply a Vistor Visa just for travel, is it very difficult to be granted the visa? What can I do to make them trust me again?

You lied to NZIS at the border. Your record for lying will stay for all eternity.

I am just saying, you already have a permanent record with NZIS that you have been refused entry before.

It would take extra effort on your part to convince NZIS that you have intentions consistent with the type of visa you may have.

Did you check with NZIS what sanction was imposed upon you when you were refused entry? Did NZIS mention that you may be banned for five years?

You can check with NZIS.

Lesson for everyone: Don't lie to NZIS, don't lie to the NZ customs. People working in these departments are trained well to spot those who may be lying.

Hi Hahahahahi,

Just curious. Which visa did you possess when you were refused entry to NZ? Because now you opt to have a visitor visa.

Perhaps you have WTR which gives you the right to find work in NZ. But you were saying you were refused entry coz you did not tell the officers you have intentions of finding work here.

Please clarify.

Thanks.

yeah makes me wonder too. what kind of visa do you have in your first attempt?

The question is how sure would the INZ be that the real for purpose of your travel now would be to visit and explore NZ not 'look for work again' ...if that was your real intention in the first place.

Goodluck

Mga kababayan,

Ingat po kayo pag pupunta sa NZ on a visitor's visa. I was there June 2007 at pag dating nyo sa airport, they will ask you so many questions na para kayong criminal.

TIP: DON'T EVER TELL THEM THAT YOU WILL LOOK FOR A JOB.

I assure you that they will order you to take the first flight back to the Philippines.

if your real intention of entering NZ is to visit relatives/ friends and to go on a Holiday then you have nothing to worry about. Very Happy

Thank you every one.
I was holding a Visitor Visa when I was refused entry, and I was not qualified to get WTR visa.

I am doing many things to convince them to trust me and give me the visa. But it is hard.

No, NZIS didn't mention that I was banned for five years. I have already applied for the visitor visa and it is under processing now, they need me to provide those evidences that I will come back home country, economic supports, why they have to trust me again..........
