| Thank you for the prompt response. They are offering me NZ$48600 anually. Kaya lang may babayaran pa ako sa agency na around US$6500 as processing fee. Is this fair and legal? |

US$6500 for processing fee is a lot. is the amount inclusive of your visa application + medical exams?
$48,000 p.a. is great for a start! |

| however, you may want to check that $55,000 p.a. is the threshold set by NZIS for some visas to qualify for permamnet residency - I could be wrong - please check NZIS website. I think it is important that you know this as a matter of long-term planning. |

Thanks wellingtonianbuddy.
yes. That includes visa pocessing and medical examination. Pero I was thinking, medyo malaki talaga kung may agency kesa I'll process it on my own. Pwede ka ba iask yung employer na wag idaan sa agency? Direct correspondence na lang. Though yung agency yung unang contact ko. Is there anyway na makasama ko agad baby ko pag-alis if I was granted a woking visa? Please, please....
Kind regards,

1. $6,800.00 waaaay too much for agency fee. You should ask the agency for a breakdown of the fees. If they balk, up to you to take this offer or not.
2. Besides, in New Zealand, it is the employer who pays agency fee, not you.
3. From what I understand of the immigration rules, for working visa, annual salary is $55,000.00. So your $48,000.00 way too short of the requirements. But I might be wrong, so do your own research.
4. Yes, if you include your baby in application you can bring him/her. Problem is, who'll take care of the baby here? You can't bring a yaya with you and as a medical professional, your hours are irregular. Points to ponder. |

1. try to read NZIS 1016. This might help. As what i understand there are some category that required specific annual salary. LTSSL ang general work visa does not require but much better read it to understand as well.
2. If you apply a woking visa and youre employer has an agency in the philippines, you cannot apply as a direct hire because it is all recorded in POEA and they will not process your POEA exit clearance because its illegal to hire directly if they have agency in the Phlippines. |

1. In the first place, has DOLE-OWWA-POEA allowed the deployment of Filipino workers in New Zealand? No recruitment agency cannot deploy workers without their approval.
2. Is the agency you are dealing with accredited with POEA-OWWA? And are they accredited to deploy workers in New Zealand?
3. Or, are you dealing with a New Zealand-based agent? If you are, you are not bound to pay agency fee. |

Hello everyone. I went to the agency yesterday and they told me that there is no placement fee. It is the west coast district health board that's asking me to prepare around US$6500 fo visa processing. Now, I'm more confused. Parang yung agency dito sa Pinas ang magcocollect ng document and payment tapos ipapadala sa west coast para yung employer yung magaayos sa new zealand. Ganun ba talaga yun? The agency is accredited by the POEA, chineck ko din.
Nway, thank you for all the replies. You're a BIG help guys!!!! |

| Something is fishy. NZ employers won't collect money for visa processing. You have to process it yourself with their help in documentation. NZIS will be the one to charge you. Besides 6500 is too much. The story does not add up. |

Hello again.
I cannot include my partner and dependent child in the application of my working visa based on the guidelines and forms. Pwede ba mag-apply under skilled migrant visa category? If so, madodoble naman kung inaayos na yung working visa. Pano kaya yun? Pwede ba magtourist visa ang mag-ama ko para sabay sabay kaming makaalis? Pero, that is for 9 months lang, right? haaay... What should I do? Gusto ko lang talaga sabay sabay na kami umalis. HELP!!!! |

| You cannot include your husband and child in your application. You need to make an individual application, work visa under family stream partnership para sa husband mo at student visa application sa child mo.You can send this together with your application para once maapprove na sang sa iyo, i process nila agad husband mo.Just check Manila immigration NZ for procedure and requirements. In my case, i filed my wife's visa a month after i received my visa and it takes only 1 week considering im from cebu and im sending the docs thru courrier. One more thing, pwede mo i ask sa poea name ng employer mo kung may agency sila sa pinas, if wala ikaw na lang process visa mo. Madali lang at makasave ka pa. |
