Hello everyone. Kindly help me on this. I have a current job offer in New Zealand as an occupational therapist. I am having difficulty deciding whether I'm going to accept it. I have a one year old baby and my husband is working in Singapore. The west coast district board is expecting me to come by end of this year but my husband's contract in Singapore will end on May next year. Is there any way that I could bring my family with me as soon as possible? O kaya, sabay sabay na kami? What are the options available? haaay hirap magdecide..... please help. help po. |

if you are under a work visa, you can apply for your family to come with you as well. |

| I would go if the salary is okay by NZ standards and as levi said, bring the family. |

Hi Marie7790,
I strongly suggest that you should go. With your work visa you can bring along your family. Others are not as fortunate. Make the best of what God has given you. There are pros and cons for starting in NZ with or without your family. I myself am having difficulties adjusting to a life all alone but this has to be done. Go for it Marie7790. Peace and prayers to you my dear. |

just make sure you declare your husband in the application form (i.e. if he's not applying with you - mindful of the fact that he is still in singapore and won't be free until May of next year).
this would mean it's gonna be you and your child who may go right away.....
one thing to condider, who will take care of your baby when you're working? you may inquire ahead of time if there is a creche/child care centre around the block (and even in your workplace?) so you can book ahead of time (you may be able to book whilst you are still in the Philippines). note that childcare application takes a long time (could be one year in the waiting list).
hope this could help you in makig the right decision. |
