Anybody here knows the baggage and handcarry limit now?
What's the usual charge per excess kilo? Are there any special limit for "immigrants"?

Can anyone recommend a reliable seafreight service that can deliver door-to-door from Phils. to Auckland?

Smile Thanks.

Hi engr2008,

Contact your travel agent and ask them to request your airlines to grant you additional luggage weight since you are a "First Time Migrant". Thai Airways gives additional 10 kgs (20 kgs-standard weight + 10). Qantas gives additional 20 kgs (40 kgs.). However, they will require you to attend the PDOS at the CFO before they can issue the tickets.

Re shipping, you can try to contact Phil-NZ Cargo. Look for Adonis, 09163274073.

Many thanks to you amine_salud. I was told of the 25 kilos limit. I guess I have to mention the "First Time Migrant" line to them. I won't be using Thai or Quantas airlines though so hmm... i hope I can avail of the additional luggage weight.

I'll probably use the cargo service co'z i don't want to leave some of my gadgets and tools which are heavy Wink Thanks again for the contact info.

Hi Engr2008

You can contact Anee Mendoza of Transnational. 8940974/7533388. She is our travel agent. Aside from Qantas and Thai Air, I think Royal Brunei Airlines is also giving 40kgs allowance for the First Time Migrants plus 7 kilos for hand- carried bags.

Good luck.

Amine

Yes, i attended the PDOS already. Travel tax is Php 1,620 i think. Bought tickets na. Will know next week if the airline will give us additional baggage weight on top of the 20 kilos limit. The agent requested to the airline and presented documents (WTR approval, etc) from the Immigration. Ang concern kasi nakalagay sa visa is "Work Visa" and not "Immigrant".

Ok. See you in NZ! Smile
