hi can anyone tell me how my canadian boyfriend can live with me in N.Z we have been together for 15 months in canada but i wish to return home i was born in nz. if he comes with me how does he go about working there?

He can either apply for the following:
1. If your canadian boyfriend is between 18-30 years old, he can apply for a working holiday visa to go to new zealand. It is valid for 12 months. For more information, access this link: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/work/workingholiday/canadaworkingholidayscheme.htm
2. If your relationship meets immigration qualifications, he can either:
2.1 apply for residency on the basis of your relationship (click this link: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/stream/live/partner/howdoiapply/) ; or
2.2 apply for an open work visa through the partnership scheme.
3. He can apply for residence under the skilled migrant category and/or work to residence category.
4. Since canada is a visa-free country, your canadian boyfriend can enter nz for three months visa free. Then you can choose whatever option is available for you guys to make is stay longer.
